Winter brings about a particular scene of natural splendor I have always enjoyed, especially at sunset. The trees that have shed their leaves take on this otherworldly effect in silhouette, the twigs, limbs, branches and trunk loses all color in a backdrop of all kinds of color.

It might not look like much to others, but to me in winter it is a constant reminder of how darkness and light clash for a time each year, until spring arrives.
