Gloom

Rainy and cold. The two worst weather combinations mother nature can combine. The kind of cold that soaks through the skin and down into the bones after only a few minutes of exposure to the damp. Not the kind of chill anyone wants to experience, and only masochists might enjoy.

The clouds remained overhead throughout the live long day on Sunday. Socked in by the weather, I didn’t accomplish much as I fought sleepiness with a few cups of coffee.

Late in the afternoon, the clouds took on an orange glow I wish translated into the photo above. Instead, all I got was the same gloom we woke up to this morning.

That isn’t black and white, by the way. That’s just how the photo turned out as the day was winding down without changing color in the sky.

Disappointing? Sure, but not unexpected considering the conditions.
