A Waterboy Moment

On the way to the store this afternoon to pick up items for Philly cheese steaks for dinner and pulling into Penny Pinchers, I spotted this guy above cutting through the parking lot, and continuing on his riding lawnmower down West Avenue in Cedartown.

First thing I though of in that moment was Adam Sandler as Bobby Boucher in The Waterboy, riding on his lawnmower coming home from a hard day of serving up that high quality H₂O.

I thought about his story, what might have driven his decision to take off toward the metal recycler on his old Snapper with scrap items in tow. What has him down on his luck to attempt to traverse traffic in the busy section of town and potential sanction by law enforcement?

Times must be tough for him. None of us envy his position at the moment.
